Often, we as humans want to live life the way we want it, the way we expect it to be - Multi-coloured, vibrant, and exciting. Everything has to go our way only then we will be contented. 

But reality is, life isn’t. We have to bear to give up, bear to fail, bear to fall and bear to get hurt. 

In times like this, normal human instincts would be to defend one’s heart or either that one tends to further hurt him/herself even more to dwell in self pity / hurt. I shall say it is only normal. Because sometimes, there is no other way out then to be emo as this generation is.

But when you think of ways to divert your attention and divert your pain, sometimes you see some light in the situation. I’ve come to a conclusion with my own personal experience, that however does not last. Many times you can be good at giving advises to friends but fact is you know that it isn’t as easy as it seems! Some people turn to clubbing, drinking, smoking, drugs, suicidal thoughts etc but at the end of the day, no one is there to heal your wound. 

Life becomes meaningless all of a sudden. Life becomes tiring and aimless. There is no longer anything for you to look forward to. Even if there was, it will only last for however long it lasts. Then again, the cycle repeats. The feeling of impending doom awaits at the end of the day, when you’re all alone in your room, when all’s asleep and your heart is so heavy that your dying spirit is crying out to your dying soul and you can’t help yourself because… you are dying. 

What i can decipher from the picture above, is something that depicts this generation of youths who has wings to take flight but are just contented with wherever they are, happy / sad yes they can be but all they’re doing is going in circles, but however still rooted to the ground. What i imagine, is to see these colourful cranes taking flight to pierce into the darkness of this fallen world. Not to be contented with what they have or to remain in denial and self pity, but to move up and take up greater challenges and responsibilities.

We are in a fallen world and going through turmoils is only part and parcel of life. But how do you want to get out of your current state? Cried all you could? Did all you could do? But still no clue?

I’ve realized, there is only one answer. 

& i know you know it too. 

Hold on to that glimmer of hope. Hold on to that thin strand that seems like its gonna snap any moment. Because chances are, you will be pulled right back onto your feet. It may take a long time, it may seem like its never gonna happen - but simply proclaim with faith - to hold on to what is true though you cannot see. 

As the saying goes, “Perseverance is the key to success”. 

Definitely it isn’t as easy as how it is easy for me to type it out.

But who we need is, God.
